Surah 35 - "The Creator, or the Angels"
By LTC Daniel Marvin, USASF (ret)
Muhammad begins Surah 35 with a strong statement recognizing the power of
God, saying "Praise be to God, Maker of the Heavens, and of the Earth!"
He says, in verse 14 "He causeth the night to enter in upon the day, and
the day to enter in upon the night; and He hath given laws to the sun and
to the moon, so each journeyeth to its appointed goal: This is God your
Lord: All power is His: But the Gods whom ye [Christians] call on beside
him [Jesus and the Holy Ghost] have no power over the husk of a date
stone {no power at all]. In verse 15 Muhammad goes on to warn Christians
that their other Gods (Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost) cannot hear their
cry and if they did they would not answer. He then, in that same verse,
states point-blank that Jesus and the Holy Ghost will "disown your
[Christians] joining them with God." Is Muhammad telling Christians that
they cannot go to Heaven if they believe in the trinity? It is in verse
33 that Muhammad once more warns the "infidels" he most certainly
despises, stating unequivocally "But for Infidels [Christians & Jews] is
the fire of Hell; to die shall never be decreed them [they shall endure
the torment of the burning fire forever!], nor shall aught of its torment
be made light to them. Thus reward we {I assume the 'we means Muhammad
and God] every infidel! You be the judge of the truth of it all.
