ISLAM & THE MUSLIMS
Blessing or Burden?
YOU be the Judge

PART  TWELVE
Chapter Four – Women (concluded)

We will continue the revelations of the fourth chapter of the Koran with
Muhammad’s words that tell of his god’s total power: “All that is in the
Heavens and all that is on the Earth is God’s:  and God encompasseth all
things!”  Speaking of those who have more than one wife, he tells his
people:  “...ye will not have it at all in your power to treat your wives
alike, even though you fain to do so; but yield not wholly to
disinclination, so that ye leave one of them as it were in suspense; if
ye come to an understanding, and fear God, then, verily, God is
Forgiving, Merciful...”
Muhammad, in 4:143 & 144, continues to admonish Muslims not to associate
with Jews and Christians whom he calls “infidels,” stating quite clearly,
“O believers! take not infidels for friends rather than believers.  Would
you furnish God with clear right to punish you?”  He goes on to tell them
that their end would have them in the lowest part of hell unless they
turn from their sin and “amend, and lay fast hold on God...” so that
they “...shall be numbered with the faithful, and God will at last bestow
on the faithful a great reward.”
Laying it on the line, Muhammad relates, “And for their [infidels]
saying, ‘Verily we have slain the messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, an
Apostle of God.’  Yet they slew him not, and they crucified him not, but
they had only his likeness.”  Muhammad is stating unequivocally that
Jesus was not slain!
As if to drive home his point that Jesus was not the son of God,
Muhammad, in 4:169, tells his followers, “O ye people of the Book
[Koran]! overstep not bounds in your religion [Islam]; and of God, speak
only truth.  The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, is only an apostle of God,
and his Word which he conveyed into Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from
himself.  Believe therefore in God and his apostles, and say not,
‘Three:’ (there is a Trinity) – Forbear – it will be better for you.  God
is only one God!  Far be it from His glory that He should have a son!”
You be the judge of it all.
