ISLAM & THE MUSLIMS
Blessing or Burden?
YOU be the Judge
Sura 34 "Saba", Part 57

By David E. Flang

Mohammad warns that Allah is watching the unbelievers and when they try to
invalidate the signs, - "a chastisement of painful torment awaiteth them!"
But a reward to those who believe and have done the things that are right, a
pardon and a "noble provision". Examples of the signs are the following: For
David, "And we made the iron soft for him:- .."  For Solomon, "And we made a
fountain of molten brass to flow for him."  Also Solomnon's death was
verified by a reptile that chewed threw the staff that supported Solomon's
body and it fell. A sign for the city of Saba, two gardens, one on the right
and the other on the left.

Allah commands Mohammad to say to the unbelievers to call upon their gods
and to tell them also that their (gods) power is less then the "weight of an
atom-..." and are no help to Allah. "And we have sent thee [Mohammad] to
mankind at large , to announce and to threaten." The unbelievers say, "We
will not believe in this Koran, nor the Books which preceded it.' The weak
say to the mighty ones, But for you we had been believers:' The mighty reply
to the weak, 'Nay, but ye acted wickedly yourselves.' The weak are not
convinced and still accuse the mighty, but repent after they have seen the
punishment.

Mohammad again warns those who would invalidate the signs shall be punished
and when Mohammad repeats the signs, they say, 'This is merely a man who
fain pervert you from your father's Worship.' And they say, 'This (Koran) is
no other than a falsehood.' And is nothing "but palpable sorcery.' Allah's
apostles are charged with deceit and terrible vengeance is inflicted on the
unbelievers.

Allah tells Mohammad to say that "he is no other than your warner before a
severe punishment. The condemned shall say 'We believe in Him [Allah]!', but
there is no hope.
